The turning point happened in the 75th minute when Racing’s goalkeeper, Jokin Ezkieta, tried to clear the ball, but it accidentally hit defender Manu Hernando and went into their own net, giving Mirandés a 2-1 lead.

Even though Racing Santander tried hard to score and tie the game, Mirandés stayed strong and won. This victory pushed Mirandés to the top of the LaLiga 2 standings and marked their sixth straight win at home in the second half of the season.

Urko Izeta had an impressive game, scoring the goal that tied the match and playing a big role in the team’s attack. After the game, Izeta talked about how united and determined the team is, saying, “We have a lot of hunger and nobody hides.”

This win highlighted Mirandés’ strength and ambition as they aim for promotion in the 2024-2025 LaLiga 2 season.
